Getting ready for family additions

Employees who are expecting or adopting and were unable to attend the Johns Hopkins Baby Shower can reach out to worklife@jhu.edu to receive materials from the event

On Thursday, Feb. 6, the Office of Benefits and Worklife held the Johns Hopkins Baby Shower in the Turner Concourse on the East Baltimore campus. Fifty JHU and JHH/JHHS employees attended, along with their guests.

This event is held for new and expectant parents to learn about the services and resources available to them. Representatives from JHU and JHHS Benefits and Human Resources, as well as family program specialists, offered presentations on the topics of employee benefits, leave, child care, and lactation support. Among the nearly 20 vendors who shared their resources were care.com, Adoptions Together, Downtown Baltimore Child Care, mySupport, and the Maryland Breastfeeding Coalition.

Employees who are expecting or adopting and were unable to attend the shower can reach out to worklife@jhu.edu to receive materials from the event.
