Martin W. Bloem has been appointed the first holder of the Robert S. Lawrence Professorship and as director of the Center for a Livable Future in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering, effective retroactive to Nov. 15, 2017.
M. Daniele Fallin has been appointed to a second five-year term as the Sylvia and Harold Halpert Professor in Mental Health, effective retroactive to July 15, 2018.

Bernard T. Ferrari has been appointed dean emeritus.
Krieger School of Arts and Sciences
Toby L. Ditz has been appointed professor emeritus in the Department of History.
Matthew E. Kahn has been appointed professor, with tenure, in the Department of Economics, and as a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor, in conjunction with an appointment in the Carey Business School.
Anand Pandian has been promoted to professor, with tenure, in the Department of Anthropology.
Hanna Pickard has been appointed professor, with tenure, in the Department of Philosophy, and as a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor, in conjunction with an appointment in the Berman Institute of Bioethics.
