IT@JH, APL ranked among Best Places to Work in IT

'Computerworld' list based on benefits, career development, training, retention, and worker feedback

APL and IT@JH are once again among the large organizations (5,000 or more U.S. employees) named Best Places to Work in IT by IDG's Computerworld. In the recently released 2019 list, APL takes the No. 16 spot and Johns Hopkins Medicine holds the No. 25 spot in a group of 49. Last year, APL was also No. 16, and JHM was ranked No. 30. In addition, APL was recognized in the Top 10 for Training list, coming in at No. 5.

For the past 26 years, the magazine has annually named 100 companies and institutions that it considers top work environments for technology professionals. The list is compiled from a questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training, and retention. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.
