PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Coming soon—free access to LinkedIn Learning online courses

More than 13,000 offerings cover management, data science, software development, and more

If you're a nonbargaining unit employee at JHU, you're entitled to three days of professional development each year. You can use this time to build your project management skills, complete compliance training required for your job, look for pointers on how to get the most out of Excel, or even learn tips for getting the most out of your performance review. However you may wish to grow professionally, the university has learning resources that can help.

JHU employees have free access to the existing custom courses and workshops, plus the Skillsoft catalog of courses and library of online books and audio recordings. And starting next month, all employees also will have access to LinkedIn Learning courses (formerly called Lynda.com). LinkedIn Learning offers more than 13,000 online courses taught by professionals on anything from leadership and management to data science and software development.

Watch for more information on how to access the new courses as launch gets closer. In the meantime, if you have any questions about your professional development options, check out the HR website or email learning@jhu.edu.
