MARCH 31 DEADLINE

Help recognize outstanding faculty mentors

Nominate a colleague or yourself for the 2019 Provost's Award for Excellence in Faculty Mentoring

Johns Hopkins faculty members are invited to nominate a colleague, or submit a self-nomination, for the 2019 Provost's Award for Excellence in Faculty Mentoring.

This award honors a full- or part-time Johns Hopkins faculty member who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to supporting and facilitating the development of early career and midcareer faculty. It aims to recognize the full range of mentorship in the areas of academic support and career development, including scholarship, teaching, service, leadership, and work-life balance. Now in its fourth year, the award includes a $5,000 honorarium.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in helping mentees build relationships to achieve their specific professional goals, forge connections with internal and external networks of colleagues, and develop professional and intellectual independence.

Nominations will be accepted beginning Friday, March 1. Required materials must be submitted to facultyaffairs@jhu.edu by 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 31. Further information and nomination guidelines can be found on the Faculty Affairs website.
