Nearly 2,000 people—Johns Hopkins employees and their family members and friends—gathered on the grounds of Johns Hopkins at Eastern on Friday afternoon to enjoy Fall Fest festivities.
The annual staff appreciation event featured an array of picnic fare, carnival games, karaoke, Angelo and Marie's Fantastic Bubble Show, face painting, cornhole, cotton candy, and raffle prizes. In the bounce park, the shipwreck with an octopus was a kid favorite.
The Black Faculty and Staff Association shared information about its organization, and the Office of Communications gave away T-shirts and coffee mugs and provided a life-size cardboard cutout of Mr. Hopkins for picture taking.
Division and HR leadership volunteered at the welcome tents, served food, and assisted in other ways to demonstrate their appreciation of the staff's commitment and dedication to Johns Hopkins.
