Game faces

Nearly 250 faculty and staff and their families and friends attended Hopkins Night at Camden Yards on July 11, when the Baltimore Orioles faced the New York Yankees.

In the bottom of the second inning, the home team's Jonathan Schoop brought on cheers when he doubled and extended his 10-game hitting streak, but by the top of the third inning, the Yankees were ahead 5-0, the result of a grand slam by Greg Bird. The O's lost to the Yankees 9-0 and split the series 2-2.

The long-standing annual event is organized by the Johns Hopkins Office of Work, Life and Engagement. Employees are also able to buy discounted tickets for most other Orioles games through that office's website.
