David M. Lampton, the George and Sadie Hyman Professor of China Studies and director of SAIS China and of China Studies at Johns Hopkins SAIS, was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award for Advancing U.S.-China Relations from the Committee of 100 at the organization's annual conference, held May 5 in Santa Clara, California.
Founded in 1989 by renowned architect I.M. Pei and master cellist Yo-Yo Ma, the Committee of 100 is a nonpartisan leadership organization of prominent Chinese-Americans in the arts, business, academia, public service, and the sciences. Its annual conference is the largest member gathering of the year, with an attendance of more than 500 major influencers.
