The Johns Hopkins Live Near Your Work program has scheduled three walking tours for the month of June. While touring the neighborhoods, participants will learn about home-buying incentives and grant opportunities, as well as housing choices and community amenities.
Join Katie Walsh, LNYW program manager, on one or more of the following walking tours, all of which are scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. You may find a neighborhood that's just right for you. Registration is required.
Barclay—Wednesday, June 6. With its growing housing stock, small-business openings, and close proximity to Penn Station, Barclay is in the midst of a resurgence. Participants will see homes for sale, major new developments in the area, and shared community spaces.
Patterson Park—Thursday, June 14. Come explore one of the most popular neighborhoods in the Live Near Your Work boundaries. This park-front neighborhood is home to many LNYW recipients, and you'll soon learn why. See homes, visit amenities, and meet community partners who can help during your home-buying journey.
Oliver—Wednesday, June 20. With so much new development in East Baltimore, there's plenty to see during the Oliver walking tour. Hear from ReBuild Metro, a local developer and community partner, about housing options, what's working in Oliver, and future plans.
Live Near Your Work is a benefit offered to the faculty and staff of Johns Hopkins University and Health System to assist with down payments and closing costs for homes in select neighborhoods surrounding the Homewood and East Baltimore campuses.
