With temperatures nudging their way into the 80s and beyond, can swimsuit weather be far behind?
The JHMI Alumni Pool opens on Memorial Day, and season passes are on sale at a reduced rate until then.
Located at 1620 McElderry St., adjacent to the Denton A. Cooley Center on the East Baltimore campus, the outdoor pool is open to all Johns Hopkins employees and affiliates, whether Cooley members or not.
The facility has four 25-yard lap lanes, a deep end, and a wading section, along with a deck area, locker rooms, showers, and towel rentals. It's open through Labor Day, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. And for those who want to get in an early morning swim, the pool is open from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well.
Pre-season pass prices range from $70 ($80 after May 27) for a student to $230 ($240) for a couple and one child; additional children are $60 ($70) each. Day passes are available for $8 and 10-day punch cards for $65.
