Jhpiego has been identified as one of the highest performing organizations in global health on gender equality, according to the newly released Global Health 50/50 Report.
This first-of-its-kind analysis of 140 major organizations working in or influencing the field of global health provides an in-depth look at the extent to which organizations commit and take action to promote gender equality, both through their programs and within the workplace.
Jhpiego is one of only 10 organizations to be defined as high performers in advancing gender equality.
The report was developed by Global Health 50/50, an independent initiative housed by the University College London Centre for Gender and Global Health. The study examined organizations from the United Nations system, bilateral and multilateral development institutions, philanthropic organizations and funders, civil society and nongovernmental organizations, public-private partnerships, and the private sector.
