Faculty appointments and promotions: September 2017

The following appointments and promotions were approved by the Executive Committee of the university's board of trustees at its September meeting.

Bloomberg School of Public Health

Becky L. Genberg has been appointed to the B. Frank and Kathleen Polk Assistant Professorship in the Department of Epidemiology.

Brion S. Maher has been promoted to the rank of professor, with tenure, in the Department of Mental Health.

School of Medicine

Julie R. Brahmer has been promoted to professor of oncology.

Justin Caplan has been appointed to the Rita Honey-Hiers Professorship for Tarlov Cyst Disease in the Department of Neurosurgery.

Patrizio P. Caturegli has been promoted to professor of pathology.

Jonathan Chrispin has been appointed as a recipient of the Robert E. Meyerhoff Professorship.

Mark Luciano has been appointed as first holder of the Berry-Brem Professorship in Neurosurgery.

Michael Miller has been appointed to the Bessie Darling Massey Professorship in Biomedical Engineering.

Jeffrey S. Mumm has been appointed the first holder of the Helen Larson and Charles Glenn Grover Professorship.

Barry S. Solomon has been appointed to the Rear Admiral Ray and Laura Conner Professorship in Pediatrics.

Peter B. Terry has been appointed professor emeritus in the Department of Medicine.

Mark O.M. Tso has been appointed professor emeritus in the Department of Ophthalmology.

Arthur J. Vaught has been appointed a recipient of the Robert E. Meyerhoff Professorship.

School of Nursing

Nancy E. Glass has been appointed to the Independence Foundation Chair in Nursing Education.
