Tiffany Fuller, an experienced and accomplished global HR executive with expertise in labor and employee relations, will be joining the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources as associate vice president for human resources, a new position.
The announcement was made today by Heidi Conway, vice president for human resources.
Conway said that Fuller will be primarily responsible for facilitating the strategic and operational leadership of the employee and labor relations practice within Human Resources. "In her new role, Tiffany will provide strategic HR leadership and support to the HR teams and HR business partners across the university," Conway said. "This includes oversight of policy development, implementation of strategic HR initiatives, and measurement of HR effectiveness."
Fuller is particularly adept as a labor negotiator, Conway said, pointing out that her specialized experience is complemented by her prior work as an HR partner supporting large client groups.
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Fuller received her bachelor's degree in political science from Howard University and her JD, with a focus on litigation, from Western Michigan University Thomas Cooley Law School. Fuller began her career as a labor representative at the California State Employees Association and then as a labor negotiator for the Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild. She subsequently supported large client groups at Chevron before advancing to executive roles at Bayer, where she oversaw labor and employee relations for the United States and Puerto Rico.
Fuller will join the Human Resources leadership team on Aug. 18.
