Have you checked the expiration date on your passport lately? If it's nearly time to renew—or if you need to apply for one for the first time—you can attend the Johns Hopkins Passport Fair on the East Baltimore campus. On Tuesday, Aug. 22, the Johns Hopkins Mail Distribution and Transport System, in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service, will host the event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the prefunction area of the Miller Research Building, 720 Rutland Ave.
Passport photos will be available for purchase. You must bring two forms of original identification (either a birth certificate or naturalization certificate, along with a state identification card, such as a driver's license).
Along with your originals, you will need to bring photocopies of your ID (both front and back) and your birth certificate or naturalization form. Copies must be on one side of 8-1/2 x 11" paper, not on the front and back of the paper.
All applicants, including minors, must appear in person, and both parents must be present with minors.
There will be a waiting period to apply, so you are asked to plan your attendance accordingly.
Renewals and name changes can also be submitted at this fair.
