IT@JH—the information technology entity that supports and enhances research, teaching, and patient care at Johns Hopkins—has again been named a Best Place to Work in Information Technology by IDG's Computerworld.
Cited for its role for Johns Hopkins Medicine, IT@JH was ranked number 33 among large organizations.
In the employee profile of IT@JH, Computerworld said, "At Johns Hopkins Medicine … a world-class workforce strives to make a difference. That mindset creates an environment in which the IT team has ample opportunity to develop novel technology solutions. … IT team members are known for their enthusiasm, focus, and high standards."
Best Places to Work in IT is an annual ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals. The list is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training, and retention. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.
IT@JH, which in 2016 was ranked #39, currently has nearly 800 U.S.-based employees.
