Change in 2017 holiday calendar

Johns Hopkins University has made an adjustment to its holiday calendar for 2017.

The winter holiday will not include Friday, Dec. 22, as originally planned. Instead, the university will be open on that day and closed on Tuesday, Dec. 26, as well as on Monday, Dec. 25.

Friday, Dec. 29, and Monday, Jan. 1, will continue to be holidays, as previously stated. The university's holiday calendar, is on the HR website, and holidays for bargaining unit employees appear in the agreement between the university and the unit. Divisions may decide to lift minimum staffing requirements at other times during the winter holiday season, and staff members may use accrued leave with their supervisor's permission.
