Due to demolition activity on the roof of the Orleans Street Garage on the East Baltimore campus, employees will not be able to walk or drive to the fifth level beginning Monday, July 11.
This work also will affect streets surrounding the garage on the weekends of July 16–17, 23–24, and 30–31. On these dates, the eastbound sidewalk and traffic lanes on Orleans Street between North Broadway and the fourth-floor hospital bridge, as well as the employee garage entrance, will be closed. You will only be able to access the garage from the westbound lanes of Orleans Street.
The temporary office trailers on the Orleans Street Garage are going to be removed so that parking can be expanded to include Level 5. Demolition operations will commence on July 11; pedestrian and vehicular access to Level 5 will be prohibited until it is open for parking.
