It's looking like Baltimoreans may be having a green, green Christmas, thanks to this month's atypical weather patterns. With temperatures hitting the 60s on Friday, Johns Hopkins faculty and staff got a boost with their holiday decorating when they converged on Homewood's Levering Plaza for the annual Gathering of the Greens.

This year's boughs were a lusty mixture of holly, cherry laurel, yew, and miscellaneous others offered up to employees by grounds manager John Beauchamp and his crew, who did some necessary pruning on campus and also solicited donations from Carroll Tree Service.
