Dear Faculty, Staff and Bargaining Unit Members:
Soon, you'll have the opportunity to make changes to your health and life benefits for 2016. The key dates are Oct. 14 through Nov. 11. Over the coming weeks, you'll want to learn more about what's new, plan how to make the most of this opportunity and take action to ensure you choose the 2016 benefits that are best for you and your family.
Learn What's New
The myChoices tab on the Benefits website is home to information and resources that explain all of the changes. At the click of a button, you can learn more about your health and life benefit changes.
If you'd like to speak in person with the Benefits staff or our vendor partners, join us at one of our Benefits Fairs, which take place Tuesday, Oct. 6, at East Baltimore's Turner Auditorium and Thursday, Oct. 8, at Homewood's Glass Pavilion. Both fairs will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
We are holding Town Hall meetings to summarize what's new and actions you need to take by Nov. 11. You can also join us for the Town Halls through a Benefits FastFacts which lets you attend the session via your computer when it is convenient for you.
Plan to Make the Most of this Opportunity
The [myChoices}(http://www.benefits.jhu.edu/mychoices/) site connects you to a variety of online tools and information that will help you understand and make your health and life benefits choices. This is also where you will be able to access the enrollment site when it opens on Oct. 14.
And while you're thinking about your health and life benefits, take the opportunity to also focus on your 403(b) plan. You'll be hearing more about Retirement Choice, which is taking place at the same time.
Take Action for 2016
You need to make your 2016 benefit decisions between Oct. 14 and Nov. 11 by going online to the myChoices site.
