The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health kicked off its Centennial on Sept. 9 with a Fun Festival. More than 1,200 people turned out in the blazing heat for an afternoon of music, ice cream, and more. The festival was just the first of a number of celebrations planned to mark the school's 100th year.
Dean Michael J. Klag, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Stephen Gange, and others braved the festival's dunk tank, where, for $1 a pop, faculty, staff, and students took turns trying to knock them into the water. Money raised from the event—more than $320—was donated to the nearby Wolfe Street Academy.
