The Johns Hopkins Center for Immunization Research is looking for healthy volunteers to participate in an outpatient/inpatient shigella vaccine study. The purpose of this study is to test an investigational vaccine, which aims to prevent diarrheal illness caused by shigella bacteria. If you are between the ages of 18 and 50, you may be eligible to participate. The study is approximately 8 months and requires the following:
- Three outpatient visits
- 10-day inpatient stay
- Three phone calls
