The Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare requests poster submissions for the ninth annual Johns Hopkins Research Symposium on Engineering in Healthcare, Human + AI: Redefining the Standard of Care in Medicine.
Symposium details: + Date: Monday, Dec. 8 + Time: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a reception + Location: Glass Pavilion at Levering Hall, Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus, 3400 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21218
The adoption of AI tools in healthcare is rapidly increasing, with applications across clinical practice and medical research. Realizing the full potential of this technology while avoiding its pitfalls requires close collaboration between experts across medicine and engineering. At this symposium, speakers will share their experiences developing and deploying AI tools for clinical practice, while poster sessions and breakout discussions will bring together clinical researchers, engineering faculty, and students from across Johns Hopkins to discuss emerging challenges, build connections, and foster new collaborations.
Johns Hopkins students are invited to present new or existing work at this year's symposium. Posters should reflect the Malone Center's mission of catalyzing and accelerating the development of research-based innovations that advance the effectiveness and efficiency of health care.
To allow for posters specifically tailored to the audience of this symposium, we are covering costs for poster reprints. As such, please adjust your content for an audience of clinicians and public health researchers so that the engineering and scientific aspects of your research are more broadly available to non-engineers.
Important dates: + Submission deadline: Nov. 10 at 11:59 p.m. + Notification deadline: On or before Nov. 21
