The Institute for Data-Intensive Engineering and Science requests poster submissions for the 2025 IDIES Annual Symposium.
Symposium details:
- Date: Thursday, Oct. 16
- Time: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a reception
- Location: Scott-Bates Commons, 3301 N Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21218, Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus
The poster session welcomes members of the freater Johns Hopkins community, which includes the university, the hospital, health care, the Space Telescope, APL, and Peabody. Posters should align with the IDIES mission of advancing data-intensive and computationally intensive research and education.
Continuing our tradition, this year's poster presentation will include two-minute lightning talks prior to the poster session. All poster registrants are required to present a lightning talk.
A panel of judges from IDIES will award the Best Poster. To be eligible for this award, the first and presenting author of the poster must be a member or student member of IDIES prior to the symposium. For membership details and applications, please visit the IDIES Membership page. Additionally, a digital version of the poster must be submitted for judging before the registration deadline to be considered for the award. This can be emailed separately or included with your registration. More information on this process will be provided in the registration form.
Important dates:
- Abstract and digital submission deadline: Monday, Oct. 13, at 11:59 p.m.
- Poster requirements: Printed posters are required ad must be displayed before or during the first session of the symposium on Oct. 16. Poster boards, easels, and clips will be provided.
