Temporary asphalt path being installed by the Beach today

Please be advised that a temporary asphalt path will be installed between the East Gate Loop and the southeast stairs leading to the Brody Learning Commons Plaza on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Scope of work:

  • Removal of existing wood chip surface along the current pedestrian path
  • Installation of a new 6-feet-wide temporary asphalt path from the East Gate Loop to the southeast BLC stairs

Paths impacted:

  • The wood chip pathway will be closed to pedestrians during installation
  • A detour route will be posted redirecting pedestrians to the BLC stairs
  • ADA pathway adjacent to the work area will remain open and unobstructed

Safety measures:

  • Detour signage will be installed at the Beach side of the pedestrian pathway
  • Flaggers will be posted along the work zone to redirect pedestrian traffic
  • Work zone will be clearly marked with appropriate barriers and fencing
