Macaulay Hall building closure from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on June 10 and 11

As part of the ongoing renovation of the second floor of Macaulay Hall, scanning of the concrete floor slabs will take place on Tuesday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 11. The scanning will be performed in select areas on the second and third floors to identify safe locations to create new penetrations. The work will take place each night between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Impacts:

  • In accordance with safety requirements, Macaulay Hall must be fully vacated while the work is in progress.
  • Clearing of the building will begin at 6:30 p.m. each evening, and J-card access will be restricted at 7 p.m.
  • Access will be restored at 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • The tunnels connecting Macaulay to Mudd and Dunning will be closed during this time.

Signage will be posted, and security personnel will be on-site to help enforce the building closure.

This work is necessary to support the installation of new systems for a lab currently under construction on the second floor.
