June is Gun Violence Awareness Month. As the nation reflects on the public health emergency of gun violence, many ask, Are there solutions? And the answer is yes!
The Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions is recognizing Gun Violence Awareness Month with a national campaign promoting safe gun storage.
Center Co-Director Cass Crifasi, PhD, MPH, and Director of Clinical Programs & Practice Katherine Hoops, MD, JD, MPH, are partnering to raise awareness of this lifesaving practice. They have created a public-toolkit.pdf to encourage Americans to talk to their neighbors, friends, and family members about how they store their guns. The toolkit is a step-by-step guide to help start the conversation.
Help call attention to national Gun Violence Awareness Month and save lives by spreading the word about the importance of safe gun storage with your network!
