The 2025 Space@Hopkins Seed Grant program, with grants of up to $25,000 for one year, is open for proposals for space- related projects. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. EDT on Friday, May 16. Details about the Space@Hopkins Seed Grant program and proposal instructions are available on the program's website.
Topics of the proposed projects may include but are not limited to robotics, astronaut health, planetary sciences, solar physics, Earth science, spacecraft engineering, sensors, and astrophysics. Civilian space-related proposals are welcome from all Johns Hopkins divisions. The proposed work must be relevant to Space@Hopkins and JHU institutional research priorities, provide undergraduate research opportunities, and have excellent prospects for leading to external research support. Preference will be given to interdisciplinary work, but this is not required. The Seed Grant period of performance will be from Sept. 1, 2025, through Aug. 31, 2026.
Contact Space@Hopkins (Caleigh Ryan, Space Fellow) at spacestudies@jhu.edu with any questions about the proposal process or to sign up for the email list to receive announcements about all our future events.
