Volunteers needed for malaria research

Researchers at Johns Hopkins are in need of healthy adult male volunteers with type O+ blood to study malaria parasites and to sustain mosquito colonies used in crucial malaria research.

This research study involves a blood draw about every eight weeks, and participants will be paid $75 at each visit.

You may qualify if you:

  • are 18 or older
  • have O+ blood type
  • have not been to malarious area in the past 10 years
  • have not regularly taking a prescription or over-the-counter medication
  • are willing to return repeatedly over time to donate
