Register for the 2024 IDIES Annual Symposium

The Institute for Data-Intensive Engineering and Science (IDIES) Annual Symposium aims to bring together experts in the theoretical foundations, development, and application of data-intensive technologies and analysis to share discoveries, practical ideas, and insights as they relate to big data research.

In IDIES' guiding effort to promote interdisciplinary collaborations, we invite anyone—from JHU affiliates to governmental agencies, local organizations, nonprofits, and beyond—with an interest in data science and big data, especially as it pertains to one's current or prospective research, to attend this symposium.

The symposium will be held in the Scott-Bates Commons, Salon C, on the JHU Homewood campus on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This full day of big data–related programming will include three keynote speakers; updates on IDIES-funded seed grant and student summer fellowship projects; the latest news from other data-intensive organizations and institutions; a poster gallery and competition; catered lunch and snacks; and a reception immediately following.

For registration and further info, see the event page.

All are invited, but registration is required.
