On Monday, April 1, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., a large tractor-trailer will arrive on campus via the Mason Hall South Gate at Wyman Park Drive. The truck will be transporting a 14' wide steel frame for installation on the roof of the South Plant. Because of the truck's width and length, parking spaces will be closed along the fence line behind the BMA from Shriver Hall to the South Power Plant.
Given the size of the load, Maryland State Police will not allow the truck to begin travel before 9:30 a.m. The delivery will be escorted by Maryland State Police, private escort services, and Clark Construction flagmen when it arrives on campus. Once the truck arrives at the HSC / South Plant site, the parking spaces will be reopened.
The parking spaces impacted include about a third of the Blue Jay Shuttle spaces, faculty spaces, several handicap spaces, and South Power Plant staff parking.
