In spring 2023, CTEI started a journal club focused on teaching and learning topics in higher education. It is inspired and informed by faculty in the JHU Biology Department who ran it enthusiastically in pre-pandemic times. The CTEI Ed Journal Club encompasses all disciplines, so everyone from all fields is free to join us @ CTEI's lounge in the Garrett Room (Milton S. Eisenhower Library facing the Quad & the Beach). We highly encourage participants to also select articles and lead the discussion!
Our next Ed Journal Club, scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 1, will feature Rebecca Pearlman (Department of Biology) discussing and reviewing the article "A Study Planning Exercise Associated with Decreased Distraction Levels Among Introductory Biology Students" (Walck-Shannon et al., 2024).
