Commemoration Day celebration

On Feb. 22, 1876, Daniel Coit Gilman was formally inaugurated as the first president of Johns Hopkins University, an event that was later celebrated with pomp and ceremony.

This year, our 148th, we will celebrate the occasion with cupcakes! Historical photographs of campus and students will be on display, and there will be a nostalgic takeaway from Hopkins Retrospective. Stop by MSEL Q-Level on Thursday, Feb. 22, and wish Johns Hopkins University a very happy birthday!
