Volunteers needed for the Hopkins Robotics Cup on Jan. 27

The Center for Educational Outreach is looking for volunteers to support Baltimore City's VEX IQ Robotics Championship, co-hosted by the Whiting School of Engineering and Baltimore City Schools, and presented by Northrop Grumman. There are over 100 elementary and middle school VEX IQ teams that will be competing for the championship title and the opportunity to compete at the Maryland State Tournament in March. Volunteers are needed to help run a smooth tournament! No robotics experience necessary!

The event will take place on Jan. 27 at the Baltimore City Schools' Professional Development Center, located at 2500 E Northern Parkway, Baltimore, 21214. Multiple shifts of varying lengths are available. Please note that this event serves minors, and all volunteers will be required to complete a background screening process and an online training (no cost to volunteers). Help is also needed on Jan. 26 to set up for the event.

Interested volunteers can sign up on Hopkins Engage.

Note: Volunteers need to register by Jan. 10 unless they have already been cleared to work with minors by JHU (needs to be verified by our center).
