SOE PhD preparedness program information session

In summer 2024, Johns Hopkins School of Education will be hosting its second six-week PhD preparation program for scholars whose research interests fall under the umbrella of ethnic minority studies. This year scholars will focus on Black mental health in clinical and educational contexts. The program, Post-bac/Graduate Research Edification & Preparedness for PhD in Education (PREPPEd), will offer postgraduate scholars and master's students the opportunity to examine Black mental health–related research under the mentorship of a JHU faculty member, participate in workshops to prepare them to pursue a PhD, and build a social network to support them through their PhD journeys.

PREPPEd '24 will take place from June 24 to Aug. 2, and the application deadline is Jan. 5. Those interested can learn more and apply here. Questions can be directed to PREPPEd@jhu.edu.
