This year's Trans Day of Visibility theme, Trans Utopia, calls on us to imagine a liberatory future for trans and gender-expansive people wherein trans+ identities are affirmed and celebrated. Johns Hopkins University is seeking art, narrative, critical, and multimedia submissions that articulate this theme. Submission information is on the event website.
Submissions will be available on a public JHU website connected to the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and will be displayed during the Trans Day of Visibility at the Expanding Genders event on March 29, 2024. Anyone connected to the Johns Hopkins community, including students, staff, faculty, and Baltimore residents, is welcome to submit. Send your works by Jan. 15 to trans-versity@jh.edu addressing Adrian for art submissions; Laramie for narrative, criticism, poetry, and related subjects; and Heather for multimedia submissions.
