Research participants with anorexia nervosa needed for a gut peptide study

Female volunteers age 13-70 and currently diagnosed with anorexia nervosa (AN) are needed at JHMI East Baltimore campus.

Participants will be paid $125 for two in-person visits: 1) eligibility screen that includes drinking an Ensure, and 2) 3.5-hour visit that includes blood draws and computer tasks (~4 hours total).

This research study is looking at how the gastrointestinal response to food (Ensure) contributes to the maintenance of AN. An IV will be used to collect blood samples at multiple time points over the course of three hours. During the blood collection intervals, participants will be given questionnaires to answer.
