Healthy volunteers needed for research on nicotine pouches

Healthy adults at least 21 years old are needed to take part in a Johns Hopkins research study. Researchers are seeking people who currently smoke cigarettes and are not seeking treatment to quit smoking.

The study will require eight total visits to the lab, located at the Bayview Medical Center. Participants will first complete an in-person screening session, lasting about two hours, to determine study eligibility.

Participants who are eligible and agree to be in the study will use nicotine pouches of different nicotine strengths and flavors, as well as cigarettes, in seven different lab sessions that will each last about five hours. Study completers can earn up to $1,030.
