Complimentary noncredit fall class with Osher at JHU

Introduction to Illustration is a six-week class meeting once a week on Tuesdays and focusing on the art and profession of illustration. Illustration is an age-old art form designed to communicate a concept visually, often to a larger audience, and when done in the professional realm, usually for a client. In other words, unlike fine art, it has an express purpose. During the course of this class, we'll be touching on the origins of illustration, looking at some early examples, checking out the work of a few well-regarded illustrators, and deconstructing the elements that make an illustration work.
