Researchers need healthy adult male volunteers with type O+ blood to study malaria parasites and to sustain mosquito colonies used in crucial malaria research. This study involves a blood draw about every eight weeks, and participants will be paid $75 at each visit.
You may qualify if you:
- are 18 or older
- have O+ blood type
- have not traveled to or lived in a malarious area in the past 10 years
- have not regularly taken a prescription or over-the-counter medication
- are willing to undergo multiple blood draws
