Research study that may help U.S. military veterans with amputations from Iraq and Afghanistan

Individuals with normal, healthy skin are needed to donate skin samples as part of research in the Department of Dermatology. The information from this study will help with problems like skin breakdown in patients with amputations and prostheses.

Study volunteers must meet the following criteria:

  • Be age 18-75
  • Be in good health
  • Be willing to come in for multiple visits with a minimum participation of five months and undergo a lab test (one time)

Compensation for time and travel is available up to $720.

The study is funded by the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases.
