Asthmatic and healthy African American female participants needed for blood draw study

Women statistically have more incidence and more severe asthma compared to men. Thus, we are interested in comparing how asthmatic and healthy female cells (monocytes and macrophages) respond differentially to asthma-related stimuli, and how sex hormones participate in this. We are looking for African American females age 21-41.

If you are an African American female and would like to donate blood for a compensation of $20, contact the researchers at hlee253@jh.edu. You may also call our lab at 410-955-1747.
