The JHU Sustainability Leadership Council welcomes faculty, students, and staff from across the entire university to develop recommendations for university leadership and implement progress toward JHU's sustainability goals. Apply to join by Friday, May 12.
Members commit to meeting monthly for the next academic year to:
- Develop innovative solutions that advance sustainability priorities
- Strategize around new sustainability practices and challenges
- Expand collaboration and communication across JHU
The council has contributed to the design and launch of transformative initiatives such as new academic programs and institutes, the Green Labs Program, the Sustainability Research Directory, faculty cluster hires in sustainability, grant programs, transitioning to electric shuttle buses, and more. The annual SLC Sustainability Research & Practice Symposium also convenes dozens of presenters and hundreds of participants from across JHU in dialogue and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
