Sustainable fashion show needs volunteers

JHU's Students for Environmental Action are working to plan the annual sustainable fashion show, Planet Runway. The show challenges "fast fashion," a phenomenon where clothing is thrown away after little usage because of rapidly changing fashion trends. Student designers take donated clothes and transform them into cool outfits for models to show off down the runway.

Come see the creative upcycling ideas these talented students came up with! This event was a tradition of the club before things went virtual because of COVID-19, and it was a great success last year for its return! To put on another successful show, we will need YOU to help run the event by doing various tasks (checking people in, MC-ing, taking pictures, etc.)!

This year's show will take place on Sunday, May 7, in the Glass Pavilion. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There will also be a clothing drive held at the event to help those in need in the community. The event will be catered, and there'll be opportunities to win fun prizes!

Sign up to help with the event on this Logistics Sign-Up sheet, which includes more information about what each role entails.
