Workshop: Teaching and Learning in the Age of Chatbots & Artificial Intelligence

With the introduction of ChatGPT in November 2022, conversations about teaching and learning with it and other artificial intelligence tools have been proliferating on a daily basis, from Freaking Out About ChatGPT to claiming ChatGPT can help students and professors with ADHD.

As The Chronicle of Higher Education rightly observed in a recent article, ChatGPT Is Everywhere.

The Center for Teaching Excellence and Innovation will host a panel discussion that aims to shift the focus on ChatGPT from "everywhere" to a very specific place: inside Hopkins classrooms. Instructors in the Hopkins community who are familiar with the use of artificial intelligence tools in the classroom will speak about it, providing a way to ground these conversations within the framework of teaching and learning at Hopkins.

Faculty, postdocs, grad students, and staff from all Hopkins schools are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Tuesday, April 4, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Hybrid offering: In-person on the Homewood campus (location TBD) and via Zoom. Attendees from all schools and divisions of Hopkins welcome!
