The Office of Student Enrollment and Account Management (SEAM) has launched a new "message" feature. Students, guests, and case team members have a new way of communicating about support requests.
All new cases will utilize the message feature. Any cases created prior to the launch on March 1 will continue to use email.
Convenient and Secure
When signing in to SEAM's online form, users will continue to see cases all in one convenient location. Additionally, users:
- Are able to send and receive secure messages directly from the case
- Will be notified by email when a new message is waiting.
- No longer need to search their inbox for previous communications.
Video Demo
Watch a demo of the message feature in action:
- Student/guest demo.
- Case team staff demo, requires JHED authentication.
Excellence in Student Service
This enhancement modernizes the digital experience for students, parents, faculty, and staff. SEAM and its online form were part of the universitywide Student Services Excellence Initiative, or SSEI, which was launched in 2016.
SSEI will continue to bring efficient and consistent solutions to the Johns Hopkins community with projects such as the Digital Experience Platform. Other areas underway include selecting and implementing new academic advising tools, exploring alternatives to the existing Student Information System, and developing better governance for student data captured across the university's nine academic divisions.
