Faculty Lunch & Learn on First-Year Seminars: Faculty Reflections and Emerging Best Practices

The Center for Teaching Excellence and Innovation presents the first Faculty Lunch & Learn of spring '23 from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15. The topic will be First-Year Seminars: Faculty Reflections and Emerging Best Practices. FYS Director Aliza Watters will moderate a panel that includes Chris Celenza, dean of the Krieger School; Lilliana Mason, associate professor of political science; Marisa O'Connor, associate teaching professor; and Bill Egginton, Decker Professor in the Humanities. Fully launched for all first-years in the Krieger School in fall 2022, the First-Year Seminars "welcome students to Hopkins by inviting them to ask audacious questions." All four professors will talk about their experiences with their seminars.

Preregister here for the workshop, which will be held in person and on Zoom. It will be held in the Garrett Room of the MSE Library, the offices of the CTEI. Lunch will be served!
