The research study involves 16 visits over the course of eight months. You must be between the ages of 18 and 75 to participate and meet inclusion/exclusion criteria. At each visit you will receive the study drug, Dupilumab, or a placebo and two questionnaires, and you will be monitored for any side effects.
Each visit will last about one hour with the exception of the first (screening visit) and the last (final visit), which will also include an X-ray scan of the sinuses, rhinoscopy, blood sampling, allergy skin test, and smell test. If you qualify for the study, you will be randomly assigned, like flipping a coin, to receive Dupilumab or placebo. Injections are administered every two weeks for six months.
Compensation for participation in this study is up to $480, as well as paid parking. This study takes place in the Asthma and Allergy Center at the Bayview campus.
