The Office of Benefits & Worklife will be hosting two live educational webinars this month: How the High Deductible Health Plan & Health Savings Account Work, and Flexible Spending Accounts & Tax Savings Benefits. Be sure to register in advance so you can take full advantage of what these plans have to offer.

How the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and Health Savings Account (HSA) Work Thursday, Jan. 19, at noon. Guest speakers from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and WEX will provide an overview of the CareFirst High Deductible Health Plan and the WEX Health Savings Account. Topics will include the general use of the health plan, meeting the plan deductible, using the HSA, participating in the Limited Purpose FSA, filing claims, and changing your contributions.

Flexible Spending Accounts and Tax-Saving Benefits Wednesday, Jan. 25, at noon. Guest speakers from WEX will provide an overview of the tax-saving plans offered to employees, including the health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts and the commuter program. Topics will include the general use of the plans, filing claims, and managing your contributions.
