The Neuroplasticity and Development Laboratory is seeking participants for an MRI research study on programming expertise. Participating in this study involves two MRI scanning sessions (each lasting two to three hours) on Johns Hopkins campus and three non-MRI sessions (each lasting one to one and a half hours) at Ames Hall on the Homewood campus.
During both MRI scans and non-MRI sessions, participants will read texts and solve problems described by the texts. Participants are compensated $30/hr for MRI sessions and $15/hr for non-MRI sessions.
To participate, you must be between the ages of 18 and 35 without cognitive or neurological disorder. Additionally, you must have at least three years of experience in Python programming and have been working with Python intensively in the past few months. Because the study involves MRI scans, you will not be able to participate if you have nonremovable metal items in or on your body.
