Hopkins Symphony Orchestra plays 'Pictures at an Exhibition' this weekend

HSO will be performing its last concert of the season on Saturday. Tickets are free for students and discounted for JHU faculty/staff/alum and seniors. The program will feature the iconic work Pictures at an Exhibition and a performance by the chair of Woodwinds at Peabody, clarinetist Alex Fiterstein.

The concert is at 7;30 p.m. on Dec. 3 in Shriver Hall.

Spend a December evening with Hopkins Symphony Orchestra. Get a taste of otherworldly beauty with Takemitsu's How Slow the Wind, and warm up your soul with Weber's romantic Clarinet Concerto, performed by internationally acclaimed soloist and Peabody faculty member Alex Fiterstein. The second movement of Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 features violinist Sofia Taylor. Finish the night off strong with a performance of Mussorgsky's iconic Pictures at an Exhibition.
